To gain atonement for those sins, it is said that Bheema performed tapas here. Thus, the Lord appeared before him and blessed him granting him atonement for his sins of killing his guru and hundred brothers.The legend has it that Saptarishis worshipped the Lord proclaims that He is the Paratatvam and the Lord took the name Mayapiran at this kshethram.***
