Details of Kshethram:Moolavar: MayapiranThayaar: Porkodi NachiyarVimanam: Purushothama VimanamPushkarani: Pragna SarasTravel: This kshetram is located 5 km from Chengannur in Kerala.Azhwar Pashuram:Namazhwar 10 Pashurams*** This is one of the Panch-Pandava Kshethrams. This kshethram is said to have been established by Bheema.Sthala Puranam:As Bheema had also taken part in deceiving Dronacharya during the Mahabharatha, he had also gained some amount of sins. To gain atonement for those sins, it is said that Bheema performed tapas here. Thus, the Lord appeared before him and blessed him granting him atonement for his sins of killing his guru and hundred brothers.The legend has it that Saptarishis worshipped the Lord proclaims that He is the Paratatvam and the Lord took the name Mayapiran at this kshethram.***
